Frau Perchta is a figure from Alpine folklore who reigns over the Twelve Nights between Christmas and Ephiany. She is a winter witch and shapeshifter who may appear radiant when she brings blessings or fearsome when she comes to enforce order. She rewards diligence and cleanliness and punishes those that have neglected their duties by opening bellies and stuffing them with straw.

High quality fine art prints made in-house at Caitlin McCarthy's studio on acid free archival matte paper and signed by the artist, Caitlin! All prints are individually wrapped in a cellophane sleeve and include a sturdy backing board. Each deity and goddess print is accompanied by a decorative information sheet that shares their name, attributes, origins and mythology. Information sheets are located behind the print, inside the cellophane sleeve, so you can explore each deity's story.
