Vida + Luz

Vida + Luz is a brand born from cherished memories on the sandy banks of the Skagit delta, where my childhood on Fir Island, WA, was filled with discovery. My creative process draws on tangible treasures that hold beauty and hidden secrets in nature. I've learned to see the “small magic” around us—like the gentle descent of a leaf to the ground, the slow unfurling of ferns in spring, or the sunlight dancing across river currents.

Each piece starts with unique, salvaged driftwood from our family’s farm, shaped by Skagit River’s glacial waters and polished by the sand. Many of our designs incorporate moon and celestial shapes, reflecting the tidal rhythms that shape the delta. Vida + Luz evolved from our jewelry line, Otra Vez, as an idea to scale up earring designs into home jewelry. Each piece is crafted entirely by hand, from cutting to texturing raw brass, embodying our commitment to artistry and authenticity.

Located on the outskirts of Seattle in the Pacific Northwest, Vida + Luz employs five talented women artisans, empowering them with flexible work-from-home opportunities and business skills. Through our work, we bring the beauty of the natural world into each piece, hoping to share its wonder with others.
