I was inspired by the wings of spring and wanted to incorporate them in a more abstract way, leading me to make pen packs based on the coloring of each creature. Whether used to sketch out their likeness or take notes on ornithology, these packs are filled with special pens that inspire your creativity to take flight! - Caroline

Swallowtails are somewhat new to me. I can pick them out of a lineup but know nothing about them besides the fact they're my favorite color, and the bottom of their wings reminds me of lace doilies. When researching a bit further, I see that they symbolize freedom and joy, two things we can take note of when we discover one in nature. Their markings are reminiscent of Rorschach inkblot tests in my eyes, being abstract and symmetrical but detailed enough to see symbols hidden in plain sight. Finding hidden meanings in ordinary things is very connected with joy, as discovering beauty in the mundane is possible if you're open to it, giving nature the freedom to be what it needs to be and accepting it lovingly.
